Natalie – Status Update

March 30, 2026

This morning began with quiet in Natalie's room. She is still on the tube and was sedated to keep her comfortable. When Sue arrived, Natalie was asleep. The plan for the day was to have a bronchoscopic procedure.

As the day progressed, Natalie had more opportunities to interact with Sue. She was awake enough for Sue to give me a call. It was nice to talk with Natalie and then Sue flipped to facetime so we could see each other.

The bronchoscopy went well. We asked if much came out, and the nurse told us it was difficult to tell because of the saline solution that was used. Our prayer is that Natalie has good clean lungs to bring forward to her extubation.

After work I was able to give Natalie a visit. It was really good to see her. She wanted to talk so much. She wanted to use the letter board to talk with us but with the meds she was on, she wasn't fully there. Hopefully that will change tomorrow.
